A Monument That is Truly a Work of Art

I have a friend who is really into video games, so when he learned that he could get custom monuments from the monument store in Morris County NJ, he decided that the only monument that would be good for him would be one based on a video game. I though it was a weird idea to use video games as a base, but it was really important to my friend, so I decided to go along with it. There was one game that he really loved which had these falling puzzle blocks that would disappear when they made a straight line, so he requested a monument featuring these blocks arranged into a square.

Since my friend was able to get his video game monument made, I began thinking about the kind of monument that I should get. I didn’t want to get anything as silly as a set of blocks arranged into a square, but I wanted something that was a little more interesting than the traditional monuments you usually see. My friend suggested that since I like art, I should probably get something based on a work by one of my favorite artists, which didn’t sound like a bad idea. I thought about all of the artists and their paintings and sculptures that were my favorite.

The monument I settled on was based on a painting called Starry Night. It’s a beautiful painting that’s done in a way that isn’t traditional, which is why I love it so much. I was really curious to see how it would be turned into a monument, and the people at the monument company really surprised me. They made a great rendition of it in stone, and if you put it side by side with the original painting, you would think that it was made by the original artist.
